The goal at the Patrick V. Ahern High School is to transition our students with a disability to an independent adulthood. Through our Work-Study program we provide a strong emphasis on vocational training and activities of daily living to ultimately promote the level of independence appropriate for individual students. It is our belief that students need to be provided with a valuable working experience to gain practice and increase their skills in a working environment. Students perform tasks and services for local businesses. This creates a win-win situation. Students gain necessary skills while working in and with the community.
